Services for the homeschool population
Athletics is one aspect of Coach Zakariya’s offerings. Beyond that, he provides other tarbiyah-based services. Private classes are available upon request.
Islamic Studies
Zakariya has completed the two year Foundational Islamic Studies Program at the Qalam Seminary. He has four years of experience teaching Islamic sciences to students from elementary to high school, served as MSA president at Penn State University, and has taught at the university level.
He brings a wealth of teaching experience, relevant Islamic knowledge, and a genuine passion for education to every lesson. He has received general authorization (ijāzah ‘ammah) from Shaykh AbdulNasir Jangda, Mufti Hussain Kamani, and Habib Umar bin Hafiz to teach on all the subjects he has learned from them.
Science & Engineering (STEM)
Zakariya has an M.S. in Materials Science and Engineering and has worked professionally as a corporate engineer for 6 years. His passion lies in teaching and being an educator for all ages. While working as a professional engineer he mentored interns, led workshops, and visited schools as a guest lecturer.
He has the experience to create an applied science curriculum for students of all ages starting at elementary and going until high school.
